Calicut: The Markaz conference reception team has announced the 43rd anniversary and the annual Convocation of Jamia Markaz in March, April and May. Different programs are arranged as part of the anniversary as; the delegates’ meeting of the organization’s leaders on Saturday, March 27 2021, Convocation to 2029 Saqafi scholars on March 31 and April 1, Convocation to the Hafiz’s memorized holy Qur’an on April 3, and the ‘Markaz Day’ programs on April 18.
The conference will conclude with a spiritual gathering on the 25th night of Ramadan. The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Markaz Chancellor Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad.
The 43rd Annual Conference, scheduled for April last year, was postponed due to the outburst of COVID’19 disease.
The graduation certificates for 2029 Saqafi scholars (religious graduates) and 313 Hafiz (those who have memorized the Qur’an) will be given this year.
The graduation ceremony has scheduled as;
Wednesday, March 31, from 9 am to 12 pm – 2018 batch, from 2 pm to 5 pm – 2019 batch, On Thursday, April 1, from 9 am to 12 pm – 2020 batch, 2 pm to 5 pm – 2021 batch and Convocation to scholars who have completed three years of postgraduate studies in Islamic Theology (Kamil Saquafi) on April 1. Only one person as a parent or representative will be allowed to enter with the recipients to follow the central and state governments’ COVID’19 community guidelines and protocols.
Zonal and divisional heads of Muslim Jama’at, SYS and SSF units has been attended the meeting. The meeting was inaugurated by Syed Mohammad Turab, Chairman, Markaz conference reception committee and Syed Sharafuddin Jamalullali led the prayers. Markaz General Manager C Muhammad Faizi delivered the keynote address, and Syed Shihabuddin Ahdal Muthannoor presented the projects. G Aboobacker, CP Ubaidullah Saqafi, Adv Muhammad Sharif, Kunhi Muhammad Saqafi Paravur, Latif Saqafi Perumukham, Dulquifil Saqafi and Akbar Badusha Saqafi were present.
