Flag Hoisting Marks the Beginning of Markaz Convocation Conference

Kozhikode: The preparatory programs for the Markaz Convocation Conference, scheduled to be held on February 5, commenced with the ceremonial hoisting of the flag at the conference venue. The event marks the beginning of a series of spiritual and intellectual gatherings to be held at Markaz in the run-up to the main conference.

This year, 517 Saquafis and 31 Kamil Saquafis from various departments of Jamia Markaz, along with 82 Huffaz from the Markaz Academy of Qur’an Studies, will be awarded their Sanad during the convocation. A major highlight of the conference will be the Khatmul Bukhari, the annual concluding session of the renowned Sahih al-Bukhari Dars led by the Grand Mufti of India, Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad.

In addition to the convocation ceremony, the conference will feature several parallel events, including an Organisation Meet, Saquafi Delegates’ Meet, Young Entrepreneurs’ Conclave, Pravasi Summit, Teachers’ Meet, and a Scholars’ Conference. Islamic lectures will be held daily at 7:00 pm at the Markaz Central Campus until Wednesday. A Bara’ath Spiritual Gathering is scheduled for Monday at 4:00 pm, followed by the Ahdaliyya Spiritual Gathering on Wednesday night.

The Grand Convocation Conference, to be held on Thursday, will be attended by leaders of Samastha Kerala Jam’iyyathul Ulama, eminent national and international personalities, religious scholars, and prominent social and political leaders.

The flag hoisting ceremony, held on Friday afternoon, was led by Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad, Sayyid Sharafudheen Jamalullaily, C. Muhammed Faizi, Dr. Hussain Saquafi Chullikkode, Sayyid Muhammed Thurab Saquafi, Sayyid Jalaludheen Thangal Vailathur, Sayyid Swalih Shihab Jifri, Sayyid Muhammed Bafakhi, and Ghafoor Haji Al Ain, among others.
