Markaz Alumni Conclave 2026 Concludes

Kozhikode: The Markaz Alumni Conclave 2026 concluded successfully at the Valencia Galleria Convention Centre, Markaz Knowledge City, Kozhikode, Keralam.

A highlight of the conclave was the presentation of prestigious awards honouring individuals for their outstanding contributions in the fields of media, literature, social service, and entrepreneurship. The K.M. Basheer Media Award was presented to Muhammed Anees, Coordinating Editor and Unit Chief of Malayala Manorama, Kannur. The Literary Award was conferred on noted writer Sayyid Salahudheen Bukhari Kooriyad, while Jafar Tikku received the Young Entrepreneur Award. The Social Empowerment Award was presented to Adv. Shameer.

The awards were presented by Markaz Founder Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad, who also announced the newly constituted committee of the Markaz Alumni Association.

The conclave was presided over by Markaz Director and Alumni President C.P. Ubaidullah Saquafi and inaugurated by Kerala Minister for Agriculture, Adv. T. Siddique. Senior journalist K.F. George introduced the award recipients and highlighted their achievements and contributions.

Addressing the gathering were Markaz Director General C. Muhammed Faizi, Markaz Knowledge City Academic Director Dr. Roshan Noorani, Adv. Sayyid Suhail Noorani, Finance Secretary Jouhar M., Dr. Ibrahim Afsal, and K.K. Shameem.

During the event, Chief Coordinator Akbar Badusha Saquafi presented the Alumni Mission Module, outlining the association’s future roadmap, strategic vision, and key operational objectives.

The programme commenced with a welcome address by Alumni General Secretary C. Swadiq Kalpally and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by C.K. Muhammed Iringannur.
