Markaz Celebrated 49th Foundation Day

Calicut: Markazu Saquafathi Sunniyya celebrated its 49th Foundation Day on April 16 with vibrant programmes, reflecting its enduring legacy of knowledge, culture, social empowerment, and leadership since its establishment in 1978.

The official Foundation Day ceremony was held at Karanthur, Calicut, the headquarters of Markazu Saquafathi Sunniyya. Markaz Director General C. Muhammed Faizi inaugurated the function. Members of the Markaz Directorate Board spoke on the occasion, and staff from various departments and institutions gathered to mark the celebration.

Programmes were also held across various Markaz institutions across the nation and in foreign countries under the Markaz Global Council, bringing together students, alumni, and well-wishers. The day featured special gatherings, commemorative sessions, and messages highlighting the institution’s journey from humble beginnings to becoming a prominent centre of integrated education and moral guidance.

On the occasion, the visionary leadership of Markaz Founder and Grand Mufti of India, His Eminence Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad, was highlighted, recognising his pivotal role in shaping the institution’s mission and expanding its global reach.
