Markaz Central Alumni Elects New Leadership

Kozhikode: Markaz Central Alumni, the apex association of graduates from the various educational institutions under Markazu Saquafathi Sunniyya, has elected its new leadership team. The announcement was made during the Alumni Delegates’ Conclave held at Markaz Knowledge City, Kozhikode, Keralam.

Sayyid Swalih Shihab Jifri was elected President, C.K. Muhammed as General Secretary, and Abdussamad as Treasurer. The event was attended by H.E Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad, Founder of Markaz, who extended his blessings and congratulations to the newly elected team.

With a network of over 200,000 alumni across 38 units, Markaz Central Alumni serves as a dynamic platform for former students, spearheading initiatives in education, social welfare, employment, entrepreneurship, and career development. The new leadership was elected through a democratic process conducted with online participation, following the reorganization of councils and committees at the unit level. The election proceedings were overseen by Returning Officers V.M. Rasheed Saqafi and Shameem K.K.

The newly elected office-bearers include Adv. Sayyid Suhail Nurani and Asaf Nurani as Vice Presidents; Shareef Nizami, Anwar T.T., Ibrahim Afsal, Adv. Suhail Saquafi, Abdussamad Saquafi, G. Anees, and Hirash V.K. as Secretaries; Akbar Badusha Saquafi as Chief Coordinator; and Swadhiq and Misthah as Coordinators.

The conclave also constituted the Alumni Directorate, entrusted with implementing and overseeing the organization’s flagship initiatives. The Directorate members are C.P. Ubaidullah Saquafi, Jouhar, and Raheem P.T. (Aasman); Dulkifil Saquafi and Basheer Palazhi (Holidays); Abdul Jabbar and Ashraf (MARSA); Shameer and Bishr (Ventures); and Unais Mohamed, Shameem, and Athviyyath T.K. (Culture and Heritage).
