Markaz Inaugurates its 13th School in Gujarat
Rajkot: The
newly established Markaz Gems School in Dhoraji, near Rajkot, Gujarat,
has officially commenced operations. The school, which started with 350
students from classes 1 to 5, marks the 13th educational institution in
Gujarat established under the leadership of Markaz. Over the past two
decades, Markaz has been instrumental in setting up several educational
initiatives across the state.
The school features a modern four-story
building equipped with smart classrooms to provide quality education
to its students.
The inauguration ceremony was led by Dr.
Muhammad Abdul Hakkim Azhari, who visited Gujarat to launch various Markaz
projects. He arrived in Dhoraji in a grand procession from Rajkot, where he was
warmly received by the public and students at a packed venue. During the event,
Dr. Azhari was also honoured with the Peace Award by the Dhoraji
Citizens' Association.
The function was presided over by Dhoraji
School Trustee Amin Godil. Other notable attendees included office bearers
of the Dhoraji Muslim Educational Trust—Ihsan Gadwala, Ikram Chidimar,
Amin Godil, Munaf, and Shahid Lokhandwala—as well as Markaz Gujarat Director
Bashir Nizami, Ubaid Nurani, and Principal Sadiq Saquafi.
