Calicut: Markazu Saquafathi Sunniyya, a prominent Islamic academia and charitable organisation in Kerala, India, is dedicating 111 houses to a new scheme. The dedication of 111 homes and Key distribution to the beneficiaries as the project's first phase has held at Markaz, Karanthur, here yesterday as part of a Charity Conference by Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad, in the presence of religious, social, and political leaders. The scheme, Sadat Bhavan, is a new joint housing project of the Markaz and Madaneeyam online community to provide homeless people from prophetic families in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka. Markaz has successfully handed over 16937 housing facilities to poor and needy families through various schemes in its 45 years of establishment. The Sadat Bhavan Project has announced Building 313 houses which is ultimately a joint public participatory mission, and the dedication ceremony is for the 111 completed houses.
A beneficiary meeting was held at 2 pm as part of the conference. Beneficiary Family members from inside and outside the state who got houses attended the function.The House Dedication ceremony as part of the Charity Conference started at 7 pm with prayers of Markaz President Sayyed Ali Bafaqi. Samasta Kerala Jamiatul Ulama President E Sulaiman Musliar inaugurated the conference. MK Raghavan MP and PTA Rahim MLA were the special guests. Markaz Director General C Muhammad Faizi presided over the function. Kerala Muslim Jamaat General Secretary Syed Ibrahimul Khalil Al Bukhari delivered the keynote speech. Markaz Rector Dr AP Abdul Hakkim Azhari provided the theme of the conference. Madaniyam Abdulatheef Saquafi, who spearheaded the fundraising for the housing project, was felicitated with a special appreciation at the event. Thousands of people, including beneficiaries and wellwishers, from Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu states participated in the conference.
