Kozhikode: During the sacred month of Ramadan, Markaz General Secretary Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad announced the 'Layalee Ramadan' campaign. This comprehensive campaign encompasses a variety of spiritual, charitable, and educational activities, including a significant spiritual assembly on the auspicious 25th night of Ramadan. Director General C Muhammad Faizi chaired the event.
Throughout the 30-day campaign, Markaz is set to roll out numerous social welfare initiatives nationwide. Community Iftars will be hosted in urban and rural areas, including at hospitals and transportation hubs. Essential goods such as food, clothing, educational aids, and everyday necessities will be distributed. The primary recipients of these efforts will be refugee shelters, street dwellers, and institutions for orphans and the destitute. These projects will be led by Markaz campuses and their alums across different states, with the Markaz Central Campus providing special fasting services for commuters and the broader public.
The spiritual conference on the 25th night of Ramadan is expected to attract thousands from various regions of South India. Sultanul Ulama Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad is scheduled to give the Ramadan speech. The campaign includes a host of activities like Jalsatul Hadith, Qur'an Study Circle, Bustanul Ma'rifa, Nurul Khulub, Jalsatul Barakah, Nasweeha Majlis, Qur'an learning, Tidkaru Swaliheen, and a Women's learning Circle, along with Prophetic praise, Prayer Sessions, I'tikaf Jalsa, and more.
Towards the end of Ramadan, special gatherings such as Qutbiyat, Shaduli Hala, Qadiriyyah Halqa, Khatmul Burda, and a Badr Remembrance on the 16th of Ramadan are planned. Additionally, every Friday post-Jumu'ah, notable figures from Kerala will deliver sermons at Masjidul Hamili. The initiative includes special sessions on essential topics like Zakat, fasting rituals, and Eid, alongside courses on the Holy Qur'an and its recitation methods. Expert Qaris and Huffazs will lead special Ramadan prayers at Masjidul Hamili, showcasing their mastery of Quranic recitation.
