Kozhikode: The winners of the 15th Al Fahim National Holy Quran Award organized by Jamia Markaz have been announced.
Samasta Mushavara member and Markaz Senior Mudaris VPM Faizi Vilyapally announced the intercampus winners and Kerala Haj Committee Chairman, C Muhammad Faizi announced the winners of the national level recitation and memorization competition.
Hafiz Abdullah Shahul, Hafiz Twaha Uwais, Hafiz Ishaq, Tulaib Chokli, Muhammad Midlaj and Muhammad Sufyan won first, second and third positions respectively in the memorization and recitation competitions held at the national level.
Hafiz Ali Hijaz, Hafiz Muhammad Tamim and Hafiz Muhammad Qasim and Hafiz Muhammad Rafi, Hafiz Hanan and Hafiz Muhammad Qasim secured first, second and third position respectively in inter campus hifz and recitation competitions.
Syed Shihabuddin Ahdal Muthanur offered prayers at the announcement ceremony. Chiyyur Muhammad Musliar presided. Jamia Markaz Rector Dr. Abdul Hakkim Azhari inaugurated the session. He said that the Al Fahim Holy Qur'an Award has had a great impact on the growth of Markaz in the Quranic field and ensuring the presence of Markaz in competitions held in foreign countries such as Dubai, Egypt, Bahrain and Tanzania. The judgement was done by a panel consisting of Al Hafiz Twariq Abdul Hadi Abu Hamid, Al Hafiz Qari Rafiq Ahmad Hazrat and Al Hafiz Qari Shams Mubarak Falahi. Ubaidullah Saquafi, Hafiz Abu Bakar Saquafi, Qari Hanif Saquafi Paravoor Kunhim Muhammad Saquafi, Abdullah Saquafi Malayamma felicitated.
