Students from 24 states, the Independence Day celebrations at Markaz call attention.


Calicut: Students from 24 states and six union territories participated in a Grand ceremony at Markaz Karanthur. Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad, the founder Chancellor of Markaz and Grand Mufti of India, hoisted the flag and addressed the function; he said that all Indians have the right to enjoy the freedom achieved by all sections of the people united in the spirit of nationalism, regardless of caste, religion and class.

He also said that after 76 years of independence, the citizens must reconsider the civil liberties and fundamental rights envisioned by the nation's architects and the constitution-makers to what extent the citizens and the rulers are practising it in the present. He called upon the students to constantly learn and train to raise India's prestige among the world countries.

Markaz Director General C Muhammad Faizi delivered the message. Students have pledged under the leadership of Jamia Markaz Pro-Chancellor Dr Hussain Saquafi Chullikode. A parade and performances by Markaz School Student Police Cadet, Scout, Junior Red Cross Society, NCC and Markaz School brigade team members were held as part of the celebration.

VPM Faizi Vilyapally, Allama Muhammad Siddique Raima, President Gujarat Kutch Ulama Council Syed Anwarsha Bukhari, teachers and heads of various departments presided over the celebrations. At the same time, celebrations were held at multiple Markaz campuses in 22 states of the country. On Independence Day, various competitions have been organised in Markaz institutions, schools and pre-primary campuses.
