Tanzania International Holy Qur'an Award; Markaz student will represent India


Calicut: Markaz Sanaviyya student Zainul Abid will represent India in the International Holy Quran Award Competition to be held in the African country of Tanzania. Participants from fifty countries are vying for the award this year. The award will be presented to the winner of the finals in various sessions and levels in the competitions held from April 12 to 16. Zainul Abid won the international Holy Quran Award held in Dubai last year. He graduated from the Markaz Academy of Qur'anic Studies. Every year Markaz students represent India in world-renowned competitions held in different parts of the world and win prizes.  Zainul Abid, who left for Tanzania yesterday morning, was sent off with prayers by Markaz General Secretary Seikh Abubakr Ahmad and Director General, C Muhammad Faizi.
