Egypt Awqaf- Jamia Markaz Joint Seminar on Modern trends in jurisprudence Concludes


Kozhikode: The second two-day Jurisprudence seminar, organized for the students of Jamia Markaz in collaboration with Egypt Awqaf, came to a successful close. The discussion revolved around the theme of modernity in Jurisprudence and was inaugurated by Dr. Muhammed Mukhtar Jumuah, the Minister of the Awqaf Department. The function was presided over by Chancellor C. Muhammad Faizi.

Distinguished speakers addressed various topics, including 'Practice of Islamic Shari'ah,' 'Code of Jurisprudence, 'Ideal Role in Nation Building,' and 'Cyber Space: Right and Wrong.' Notable presenters included Dr Atwa Sanbatwi, Principal of Kulliya Sharia Wal Khanoon, Al Azhar; Dr Abdullah Al Najjar from the Islamic Research Foundation in Egypt; Dr Ahmad Hussain, former Principal of Kulliyya Dawah Islamiyya, Al Azhar; and Dr Sami Sharif, General Secretary of the Islamic University League.

The seminar provided a platform for in-depth discussions and engaging question-and-answer sessions, fostering intellectual exchange and knowledge sharing among participants. Critical contributors to these discussions included  Kulliyya Usuluddin Head Abdullah Saquafi Malayamma, Jamia Markaz Vice Rector Dr Muhammad Roshan Nurani, Kulliyya Shariah Associate Professor Muhammad Suhail Saquafi Al Azhari, and Twaha Saquafi Mannuthi.

The collaborative efforts of Egypt Awqaf and Jamia Markaz have successfully enriched the discourse on modernity in Islamic Jurisprudence, demonstrating the significance of international partnerships in promoting knowledge and understanding of Islamic Fiqh and ethics.
