Kozhikode: Distribution of  food kits for the Sadat, the revered descendants hailing from the family of Prophet Muhammad (s), announced at the Markaz Sadat Conference held in the month of Muharram is already on. The kits are being distributed to Syed families from different parts of the state.

Markaz Vice President Syed Zainul Abidin Bafaqi inaugurated the distribution at Markaz. Chancellor Kanthapuram AP Aboobacker Musliyar inaugurated the function. “Sadat are the ones who keep the Islamic heritage of Kerala most sacred.  It is part of our faith to honor them as the family line of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Many of them suffered during the COVID period. It is the responsibility of the believers to hold them together”; he said.

The kit contains grains, tubers, vegetables, and curry spices that are basically required in daily intake at a home. The data collection of the Sadat families was done through Kerala Muslim Jama’at and SYS. Arrangements have been made to give away the packets to the Sadat families through the organizational channels in different districts of Kerala.

Markaz General Manager C. Muhammad Faizi delivered the introductory speech in the function. Markaz PRD Coordinator Sayyid Shihabuddin Ahdal Muthanoor led the prayers. AGM Adv. Muhammad Shereef, AFM K.K. Aboobacker Haji, Muhammad Ali Saqafi Valliyad, Sayyid Mohammad Shihab and Izzuddin Saqafi were present.
