Markaz Day; a call for educational revolution


Calicut: The 45th foundation day of Jamia Markaz, one of India's most prominent Islamic Academies, marked the commemoration of its triumphant multidimensional victory. Markaz has its activities widespread in social, educational and humanitarian activities, demanding the sustainable development of the oppressed community in India

Founded on 18th April 1978, Jamia Markaz extended its wings across 22 states in India and abroad, providing educational and life settlements to thousands of students. The 45th foundation day was celebrated extensively at the central campus at Karanthur and its various institutions across India and GCC countries on the theme, "45 Years: Sensing Knowledge and Struggling Success", which delineates the pious and scientific role played by Markaz in pursuit of knowledge and wisdom in multi-disciplines, comprehensive concordance of values with academics, architecting abodes of academic excellence, and adherence to productive modes of resistance at times of criticism and adversity.

Markaz vice president Sayyed Zainul Abideen Bafaqih hoisted the central flag, and Forty-four eminent personalities also hoisted flags in the presence of hundreds of sayyids, scholars, staff and students. Markaz Chancellor Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad has extended the Markaz Day message attending the celebrations from Dubai Markaz. Markaz General Manager C. Muhammed Faizi delivered the keynote address.

A Global Educational Market has also been announced as part of foundation Day celebrations which aims to provide education to the students from various national and international universities amalgamated into a virtual online platform.
