Markaz and the University of Yayasan Pahang, Malaysia (UCYP) signed an MOU on academic exchange


Kuala Lumpur: Markaz, a prominent educational institution based in Karanthur, India, and Yayasan Pahang University College (UCYP), one of Malaysia's leading higher education institutions, have entered into a significant academic partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The MOU aims to foster educational exchange and collaboration between the two institutions.

Yayasan Pahang University College (UCYP) is a prestigious state university in Malaysia, offering a wide range of courses, including Science and Technology, Management, Philosophy, Islamic Studies, and more.

In recognition of his expertise and contributions to academia, Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad, the esteemed Chancellor of Markaz, has been appointed as a Consultant Faculty at the University's prestigious International Institute of Islamic Civilization. Additionally, he has been honoured with the title of Adjunct Professor and Advisor at the University and appointed as an Honorary Fellow at the esteemed Tun Ghazali Shafi Institute for Strategic Leadership.

Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad's visit to Malaysia was marked with great success, as he received the distinguished international Tokoh Maal Award, the highest honour in Malaysia. During his five-day trip, he also signed several cooperation agreements with other leading universities and institutes in Malaysia, further strengthening educational ties between India and Malaysia.

Markaz has established academic collaborations with approximately fifteen renowned universities in India and abroad. This newly signed academic exchange agreement with Yayasan Pahang University College (UCYP) represents another significant step towards fostering educational and social development between the two nations. The collaboration is expected to facilitate substantial opportunities for students and faculty members to pursue knowledge and research.
